"Opening during Kōanga, Te Pūaotanga carries the energy of emergence and new possibilities. It marks the beginning of something enduring for Tāhuna: a place where toi Māori can be encountered with depth, where artists are sustained in their practice, and where emerging voices are encouraged to grow. I am deeply humbled by the trust of the artists who have joined us for this inaugural exhibition. Te Pūaotanga is both the realisation of a long-held vision and the first light of what may now become possible."
